Summer can create a false sense of urgency.
The days feel longer. The energy lifts. The pressure to do more – to push harder, to keep up – starts creeping in.
And before you know it, you’re building momentum that doesn’t actually belong to you.
You’re saying yes to things you don’t want.
You’re running on someone else’s schedule.
You’re confusing busyness with progress and burning yourself out in the name of visibility or growth.
Owning your pace is one of the most powerful things you can do – not just in business, but in every area of your life.
It’s not about going slower.
It’s about going deliberately.
It’s about choosing your next step based on what matters – not what everyone else seems to be doing.
It’s about recognising that doing things well often takes more clarity and more courage than simply doing them fast.
Here’s a challenge for you this week – a three-part check-in:
Pause.
Ask yourself whether the commitments you’re making are aligned with your actual goals – or if you’ve just been swept up in someone else’s rush.
Prioritise.
What’s actually going to move things forward for you?
What can you gently drop or delay to give more energy to what truly matters?
Pace yourself.
Give yourself permission to build steadily.
You don’t need to push harder just because it’s summer.
You don’t need to launch something just because someone else is.
You don’t need to do more to be enough.
Here’s your thinking point:
What would shift if you stopped rushing and started moving with clear, deliberate intent instead?
If that’s got you thinking, hit reply and tell me what’s coming up for you – I’d love to hear it.
