Leadership isn’t about titles – it’s about energy.
It’s not about authority – it’s about clarity.
It’s not about control – it’s about commitment to the cause and your people.
In the work I do with coaches, I often speak about the chief mindset – the leadership that doesn’t come from external validation, but from a deep understanding of your own purpose, your mission and your ability to serve others.
True leadership isn’t flashy, and it isn’t about chasing external recognition. It’s about the quiet confidence of knowing who you are and where you’re going.
When you step into your leadership with power, you automatically draw others into that energy with you.
When you’re connected to your chief mindset, you aren’t seeking approval – you’re leading with authenticity, truth and integrity. And that’s what will always set you apart.
The chief mindset is more than just good strategy; it’s a mindset rooted in the medicine teachings I weave into my work. It’s about having the ability to hold the space, to stand tall without needing to control, and to guide others with love and clarity.
To become a better leader, you need to:
1. Own your story.
You can’t truly lead others if you’re hiding from your own journey. It’s the lessons, the mistakes and the moments of growth that shape you. When you own your story, you step into your power, and others will be drawn to that energy.
2. Embrace imperfection.
Perfection is a myth. The best leaders don’t have everything figured out, but they have the courage to show up, speak their truth, and make their impact. Leadership isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about having the strength to be real and vulnerable.
3. Trust your instincts.
The chief mindset thrives on intuition. It’s about knowing when to speak, when to hold space, and when to let things unfold. Your gut feelings are a powerful guide – trust them, and watch your leadership grow.
4. Be consistent.
Great leadership isn’t built on big, dramatic moments. It’s built on small, consistent actions that align with your purpose. It’s about showing up every single day with integrity, staying committed to your values and keeping the bigger picture in focus.
5. Lead with vision.
True leadership is rooted in vision. It’s the ability to see beyond what’s in front of you and understand the legacy you’re creating. The chief mindset is about embracing that vision and having the courage to make bold moves, even when the path ahead isn’t clear.
Here’s your thinking point for the week:
