I don’t mean your ‘why’ – that can be confusing for some – I’m talking about one thing you want to create in life/business. 

In my book, Unleash Your Awesome, I talk about the importance of doing a tools and skills audit on ourselves.  

For instance, before I became a professional motivational speaker, if I’d held that as the outcome and audited the tools/skills I’d need, it might have looked something like this: 

Confidence

Content – strong message  

Knowledge: Who else is out there? What’s my niche? Who might hire me?  

Assets – testimonials, pics, showreel  

An agent (not essential, but a plus) 
 A proven track record  

Good body language/stage presence  

Contacts and advocates – people who believe in me and to help build awareness/secure bookings  

PR  

Website  

Determination, passion and drive  

On top of that, if I’d really wanted to smash it, I would’ve needed an awesome coach to keep me motivated, inspired, on track and striving to get beyond the limitations of my own thinking.  

It’s a lot like reverse engineering. Start with what you want to achieve, then work out what you need in order to achieve it.  

Focusing on something we want to achieve can really help us in challenging times. 

Today, I work with a number of coaches, at different times, and with different specialisms. Every awesome coach needs an awesome coach if they really want to fly.
