This week I’m laying down a challenge… and it’s one that will serve you AND your clients. Go through your diary for the rest of 2023 and actively schedule out time for creativity/inspiration, writing, L&D and proper off-off time. Make sure you allocate enough time for each every month. I’m not going to tell you how much, or when – that’s up to you – but you’ll know. And then… ringfence this time! Treat it like a client appointment or speaking gig. It does not get eroded for anything! Prioritise YOU time. If you’re finding you’re already eating into your own time (under any of these headings) to put your clients first, you are doing yourself a disservice. Sound harsh? Yep. It always does. Because it’s entirely the opposite of the ethos most of us have been conditioned to. Listen… YOUR development/learning/growth/health/mindset/wellbeing/inspiration/creativity etc etc need to be at the TOP of your priority list. When you do that, you will ultimately be serving your clients – and future clients – even more power-fully. Make good, clean, positive commitments to YOURSELF – and stick to them! Do not skimp.
