If you keep on telling yourself you’re shit, you’ll end up believing it.

Keep on telling yourself you’re worthless, you’re no good, and you don’t stand a chance of making it. Eventually, you’ll make yourself right.

If that’s you, your attitude is soul-destroying.

None of this needs to be true.

I don’t care how dismal your life has been up to now. Your future doesn’t need to follow the same pattern.

And when I say I don’t care… of course I care – I have empathy, I feel for you if you’ve been through such a hard time, but I DON’T believe that gives you a reason to give up, to throw in the towel, to choose to make your future shitty as well. That part… the part of your life yet to come… that’s up to you.

You’ll get further with optimism than you will with pessimism.

You’ll get further believing you’ll achieve than believing you will lose.

And if you’re determined to embrace defeatism, you’ve already lost.

Your defeatism WILL defeat you eventually.

Stop feeding your defeatism. Starve it out of your system.

Find a way to start building some self-belief, some hope, some positive dreams and intentions and feed those instead.

Optimism… that’s the stuff that will take you to a better future. It won’t always be easy, but it will be a happier way to live your life.
