If you’ve followed me for a while, you’ll know I’m open about my late ADHD diagnosis.

I talk about it because it’s a huge part of who I am – and because understanding it has helped me build a business and a life that actually works for my brain, instead of constantly trying to force myself into a box I was never meant to fit into.

So what does ADHD actually look like behind the scenes for me? It’s a mixed bag – a proper double-edged sword.

On the one hand:

• I’m full of ideas. I don’t just think outside the box – half the time, I don’t even see the box.
• I’m intuitive, fast-thinking, creative – I spot patterns, possibilities and connections most people miss.
• I bring energy, passion and fire into everything I do – and it’s contagious.
• When I hyperfocus on something that lights me up, you better believe I’m giving it everything I’ve got.

• I connect the dots in ways that allow me to coach, mentor and speak straight into people’s hearts and souls.

And at the same time:

• My brain can run so fast it feels like there’s a 10-lane motorway up there – and every lane’s heading in a different direction.

• I struggle with overwhelm and decision fatigue – not because I don’t know what to do, but because I can see too many options at once.
• Time management? Always a work in progress. (If I didn’t live by my calendar reminders, half my life would probably collapse.)
• I can go from 0 to 100 on enthusiasm – and if I don’t manage my energy carefully, I can crash just as fast.
• Time blindness is one of my biggest battles. I genuinely believe I can fit a day’s worth of work into about eight minutes.

• No matter how many alarms, reminders or buffers I build in, I still live on ‘TazTime’ – and if you know me, you’ll know that’s not about disrespect or lack of care. It’s the complete opposite. I care deeply – sometimes too much – but my brain just processes time differently.

What’s helped me:

• Building a life and business that give me room to flex, flow and recalibrate when I need to.

• Surrounding myself with brilliant, understanding humans who know how to roll with ‘TazTime’ without judgement.
• Creating systems and supports that help me catch the important stuff without crushing my natural rhythm.
• Giving myself permission to stop masking, stop apologising, and just be.

• Remembering that my brain is built for brilliance and challenge – and both are part of my magic.

ADHD doesn’t define me – but it absolutely shapes the way I experience the world.

It’s also one of the reasons I’m able to coach so powerfully – not just for my neurodivergent clients, but for neurotypical people too.

My brain is wired to spot patterns, possibilities and potential they might never have dreamed of – and to help open doors to whole new worlds of opportunity.

It’s part of what allows me to connect with audiences so well, too.

I can scan a room and intuitively sense what’s needed – who needs more attention, who needs more space, how to lift the energy, when to shift the pace to keep people engaged and rapt.

I used to put it down purely to my innate ‘witchy’ or ‘psychic’ side – and that’s definitely still part of it – but truth be told, my sparkly brainbox is wired for soul-deep connection, stratospheric strategising and fantastically fun success.

Some days, ADHD is my rocket fuel.
Some days, it’s my biggest wrestling match.
Either way, it’s mine – and honestly, I wouldn’t trade it for anything.

If you’re living your own version of this – hear me when I say:

  • You’re not broken.
  • You’re not lazy.
  • You’re not ‘too much’ or ‘too chaotic.’
  • You’re wired differently – and that difference carries so much magic.

What makes you ‘different’ and what do you love most about it?
